Sulfur Removal Installation Example:
A longtime customer purchased their 44th filter for a Straightline system that is being used to washout the chemicals in a sulfur removal application. The filter goes directly into the Lo-cat process. This process uses a combination of chemicals to remove sulfur from the oil stream. A mix of approximately 10% sulfur and 90% liquid are treated in the refining process.
Sulfur slurry comes through the system in liquid form as part of crude oifl or natural gas refining. Then, chemicals are injected into the oil which coagulates the sulfur and drops out in the filter processes. The chemicals are reclaimed and reused.
The Straightline equipment is simple to use and easy to replace a filter. There are very few wearing parts throughout the entire system. This system also featured a custom designed belt and vacuum box to meet the application specifications.
